The Final Countdown is Almost Here!

The Final Countdown Begins

The days are ticking down until the end of the year, and with it, the end of my lease. I've been living in this apartment for the past two years and it has been my home base as I've transitioned into adulthood. But now, it's time to say goodbye.

Leaving this place will be bittersweet. On one hand, I'm excited to move on to a new chapter in my life; but on the other hand, I'm going to miss all of the memories that I've made here.

There have been so many good times in this apartment. My friends and I have gathered here for game nights, movie nights and drunken karaoke sessions; and it's where I've hosted birthday parties and celebrated holidays. There have also been some Low Points - like when my dog threw up all over the carpet or when a cockroach crawled out from under the oven - but Overall, This Place has Been Good to Me.

Now that my lease is coming to an end, I need to start thinking about where I'm going to live next. I could stay in this area, or maybe venture out into a new neighborhood; but no matter what, it's going to be hard saying goodbye to my home away from home.
